Los Angeles Engagement at Sunrise - Griffith Park Observatory

This Los Angeles engagement photography session was taken during sunrise at the Griffith Park Observatory. Sydney and Alex really wanted to take their engagement photos at this location because it was meaningful to them! The hard part about the griffith observatory is that it is ALWAYS crowded and usually has lots of tourists. This destination location in the heart of LA makes for gorgeous photos, but can be rather difficult to work in during peak hours of the day.


So, with that being said, we decided to wake up extra early and get there at sunrise! This was absolutely perfect because we were able to park at the upper lot (usually full) and were able to avoid all of the crowds. I was honestly surprised that there weren't any other photographers there doing photoshoots.


Sydney and Alex were able to take their photos throughout the observatory grounds. While the morning was a bit overcast, the sun did peak through for about half an hour. Not every photo has that golden hour warmth we were hoping for, but they are beautiful none-the-less!
